The undulating carved lines on the surface of this gourd is reminiscent of waves as they wash up on the beach.  The bold black stripe is accented by the simple pyrography design.  The opening is cut at an angle to repeat the curving pattern of the waves. The surface of the gourd is colored with turquoise acrylic inks.  The gourd is 8 1/2" in diameter and 8" tall.
