This bowl displays contrast in both materials and texture. The bowl and knob were turned from cherry, while the lid was turned from a piece of maple. Once the lid was turned it was textured and colored to place emphasis on the texture. As the bowl ages, the cherry will naturally continue to darken, adding further contrast.  It measures 8 1/2" in diameter and is 4" high.
