This is the first in the metallic series.  The bottom of the 9" diameter gourd is colored with a translucent gourd dye which allows the natural mottling of the gourd to show through. The top section of the piece is carved with various textures and then colored with metallic dyes.  The rim of the 7" tall gourd is finished off with black leather braiding.
