Although the lid can be removed, this gourd is best displayed with the lid on.  The design on the front of the gourd is burned into the gourd and then decorated with acrylic inks and gourd dyes.  The remainder of the gourd has some carvings and is stained with gourd dyes.  The piece is 8" in diameter and 8 1/2" tall when the lid is in place.
